The Spirit of the Father: (AKA The Spirit of God, The Indwelling Spirit)
The “Spirit of the Father” is synonymous with the “Spirit of God” which Jesus repeatedly mentioned in his original teachings in connection with the gospel of the kingdom. The apostles found it difficult mentally to unify in a faith-grasp the two concepts of (1) a transcendent personal God outside of time and space and (2) the indwelling impersonal presence of a fragment of that God. Hence, their misinterpretations of Jesus’ inferences regarding the indwelling divine presence, resulted in the meaning of the “Spirit of God” being distorted with time, often confused with other spirit influences ministering to the human mind such as the Holy Spirit and even the Spirit of Christ (the Spirit of Truth). Nonetheless, there are verses in the Bible that mention “the Spirit of God” and “the Spirit of the Father” that still retain their original meaning. For example, in 1 Corinthians 2: “For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.”
Acknowledging the indwelling divine presence and understanding its connection to the kingdom of God and the attainment of global peace, is a most critical service to humanity. It is my hope that this short book will help you in this journey of increased understanding as you assimilate the vital concept of the “Spirit of the Father.”
Unlike most spiritual books, The Spirit of the Father provides a fresh and expanded knowledge perspective of the Spirit indwelled within us all. A well written book that succinctly provides a big-picture and comprehensive discussion in a succinct structure of 75 pages. I look forward to the release of other books in this series.
